First Citizens National Bank will sponsor Dickens of a Christmas, one of downtown Franklin’s four signature festivals produced by the Heritage Foundation. The holiday event takes place on Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10 this year, and First Citizens National Bank has signed on as a partner of the preservation organization through 2019.
“We are thrilled to have First Citizens National Bank as our presenting sponsor for Dickens of a Christmas,” said Bari Beasley, CEO of the Heritage Foundation. “Our team is grateful for the bank’s hands-on approach to sponsoring this key event, and we look forward to their assistance in filling downtown Franklin with holiday cheer on Dec. 9 and 10.”
First Citizens National Bank’s financial support will assist with the production of Dickens of a Christmas, which recreates the time of Charles Dickens using historic downtown Franklin’s Victorian architecture as its backdrop. More than 200 musicians, dancers and characters will fill the streets, along with holiday sugar plums and 100 other vendors offering holiday arts and crafts.
David Hopkins, regional president of First Citizens National Bank added, “We are proud to support the Heritage Foundation, which is a pillar organization in our community. Dickens of a Christmas is a holiday staple that brings so much joy to the people of Williamson Co., and we are happy to be a part of this event through 2019.”
