Keeping Score: What a Load of Bulls with Britton Headden

Bulls used in rodeos are born to buck. A typical rodeo bull will be part brahman mixed with some other breed. Bulls begin their bucking careers around two to three years old and can continue to perform over ten years old. A bull rider must hang on for eight seconds to receive a score from two judges. Scores are based on the performance of the rider and the bull. The more active the bull, the higher the score.

The Franklin Rodeo is in town for the 73rd year, May 19th - 20th, and the main event is bull riding. It’s still early in the rodeo season, so several bulls are yet to be ridden. Here is YOUR Franklin Rodeo livestock lineup for 2022.
