Honoring heroes one headstone at a time 🇺🇸

Across Williamson County, hundreds of historic cemeteries hold the stories of the people who shaped our community, many nearly forgotten with time.

Now, a team of volunteers is bringing those stories back to light through The Patriot Project, an effort to locate and restore every known Revolutionary War Patriot grave in the county before America’s 250th anniversary next year.

In our latest issue, read how Linda Mora, Leonora Green Clifford and Clark Rose are leading the charge to preserve the past and honor those who helped secure our nation’s freedom.

“Art is anything you put your love into,” she says. “It could be the garden; it could be cooking. Many things could be your art.”

Art can live anywhere—on a canvas, in a kitchen, or in a backyard garden. For Franklin artist Emily Allison, creativity is about giving new life to forgotten things. Her whimsical sculptures, crafted from recycled paper, old dishes, and “junk” she can’t resist saving, capture the beauty in everyday objects and remind us to see the ordinary with fresh eyes.

Every fall, we take time to honor those who embody the spirit of service in Williamson County. This year, we are proud to recognize Marilyn and Calvin LeHew, Allen and Cindy Gentry, and Calvin Sullivan as our Philanthropic Heroes.
