Leigh is a true Williamson Countian, having lived here since she was born at the Williamson County Hospital in 1973. Leigh is passionate about bringing people together, celebrating the generosity of others, and creating meaningful connections that strengthen the community. Her service-minded approach has drawn her to nonprofit leadership and organizations that make a difference. Get to know Leigh in this issue’s

“I Am Williamson” interview.

What is it about Williamson County that makes it feel like home to you?

I’ve lived in Williamson County my entire life, and my family has had roots here for multiple generations. That history and connection make it more than just where I live; it’s truly home. What makes Williamson County special to me is the people and the sense of community. Even with all the growth over the years, it still holds onto the values, relationships and hometown spirit that make it such a special place to raise a family and build a life.

What is your profession, and what led you to choose it?

My title is Williamson Health Foundation Executive Director, but my profession is evangelist of gratitude; a nonprofit, community engagement executive; I have always been service-minded and loved to show appreciation for people; Nonprofit leadership chose me - I've always been drawn to work that has purpose beyond a bottom line. I love bringing people together around something that matters and seeing what can happen when relationships, generosity and a shared vision come together.

Three words that best describe you.

Community-minded, compassionate, driven.

What do you like to do in your spare time (hobbies, traditions, etc.)?

I like to write; take road trips with my husband and shop at antique stores off the beaten path; and spend time with my family and friends.

Where is your favorite place to go in Williamson County and why?

I love to go to downtown Franklin to the square. As a teenager, I spent many Friday and Saturday nights "cruising the square" and it's so fun to walk up and down main street reminiscing.

What keeps you motivated and inspired?

I'm motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and to help strengthen the community we share. Seeing people come together, support one another and work

What organization(s) are you involved with and why?

Williamson, Inc. Women in Business; 100+ Women Who Care; Brentwood Rotary at Noon; Love to participate with A Vintage Affair; my church - The Gathering at 840; I'm involved with these groups because I believe in each of their missions and their commitment to helping and serving others.

What is the one thing you do not go a day without?

I could not go a day without people and connections; my husband would say I couldn't go a day without a Diet Dr Pepper.

Finish this statement: I AM Williamson because…

I believe in showing up, giving back and making a difference. I'm proud to be part of a community where people care deeply, come together and believe in making tomorrow better than today.
