Steeped in History
The Old Edwards Inn was Highland’s earliest boarding house. Known as Central House, it was built in July 1878 on property owned by John Norton. After a log and storied history and a tradition of hospitality, the Inn was purchased in 2001 by Art and Angela Williams of Palm Beach, Florida. Soon, they too began building on the 132-year-old tradition and created the mountain oasis and resort you see today. Listed on the National Register for Historic Places, Old Edwards Inn and Spa stands as a beacon of wellness, relaxation and rejuvenation for visitors across the country and the globe.
