What the World Needs Now - is Love

WINTER 2025

Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. - 1 Corinthians 13
Duke of Windsor
Duke of Windsor

Dear Readers,

Welcome to 2025 friends! And, WOW, what a welcome we have had! Snow kicked things off and now exceedingly cold weather! There is a new president, a new puppy... Oh wait-that’s me, not the world! I should say Johnny has a new puppy as it was his Christmas present. However, the Duke of Windsor, has stolen the Birdsong household’s collective hearts and, well, we love him.

Speaking of love, this issue features plenty of wedding love stories and lots of other bridal information for all those Williamson County brides who got engaged over the holidays. Of course, I am sure Walton’s does not mind at all, if a non-bride wants to come on in and buy the cover worthy ring, we have adorning our Winter issue cover! Who doesn’t love a vintage diamond and sapphire ring!

And the words of the 1 Corinthians 13 about love, surrounds the ring, as a reminder that love is in all of us and all around us, whether at a wedding or Valentines, or with a new puppy.

All of us can be in love or loving at any time really and, for any manner of reasons and for any number of things, people and pets. I love this issue every year because we try to curate a magazine full of love. I hope you feel the love this cold winter and share that with the world around us. There sometimes feels like there isn’t enough and what the world needs now more than anything else-is love.
