The Reindeer Farm
Ollie Pup here! Momma told me that Santa Paws is coming soon… and with Santa also comes the reindeer! I thought they only lived in the North Pole, at Santa’s home, but I heard about some that live not far from us… in Kentucky!
The Reindeer Farm, located in Bowling Green, has kicked off another hoof-stomping season. The Christmas magic includes real-life reindeer encounters, family-friendly activities, and locally sourced sips.
"Each year, we open our home to the world and we're blown away by the overwhelming number of visits, responses, and miles folks will travel to experience our farm," said Jessica Anderson, co-owner and co-founder of the Reindeer Farm. "We frequently welcome families from overseas, such as Ireland, Australia, and Britain, and we see new visitors from different states season after season. We're starting to recognize faces of families that are making this their holiday tradition. We're proud and thankful to be part of those special, lasting memories."
This year, the farm will offer even more chances for winter whimsy. Highlights include:
“Reindeer Farm after Dark" daily from 6pm to 10pm, through December 31st, with a closure on Christmas Day. Enjoy the magic of the Reindeer Farm under festive twinkle lights.
The Reindeer Farm will now open Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm and Sundays from 11am to 5pm. The farm will also be open on December 22nd and December 23rd from 11am to 5pm.
Breakfast with Christmas characters, including Santa, will take place December 21st – 23rd. The Grinch will appear December 14th, and Frozen's Elsa and Anna will also appear throughout the season.
Live ice sculpting with Food Network's Danny Kissel takes place on December 13th and December 14th.
Several favorite offerings will remain during the 2025 season, including day passes and Reindeer Encounters. These encounters enable visitors to spend time with the reindeer in their enclosures, take photos, and learn about the farm and the reindeer.
I may be just a dog, but reindeer kind of look like big pups too, and I bet they like a scratch behind the ears as well! So, head up to Bowling Green this season and check out the Reindeer Farm and tell them Ollie Pup sent you!
Slobbery smooches to you and yours—and don’t forget to put out treats for the reindeer on Christmas Eve!
