Tucker's House

A Home for Every Child
At Tucker's House, they believe that every child deserves to feel at home. The vision is to see all families of children with disabilities have access to the necessary resources needed to make their homes both safe and accessible and fully equipped for immediate, intermediate, and long-term needs.
The mission was born from personal need and a desire to fill a critical gap in services. In 2006, founder, Sunny Rosanbalm, became a grandmother to Tucker, who suffered seizures as a newborn that left him unable to walk or talk. As his parents navigated caregiving, therapy, and medical support, they struggled to find resources to make their home accessible. Sunny discovered that no local programs offered this support so in 2009, she founded Tucker's House so other families wouldn't have to face these challenges alone.
Over the past sixteen years, Tucker’s House has served more than 1,500 individuals through 1,000+ home modification projects. In 2025 alone, they have served fifty-eight clients and completed forty-seven projects, including twenty-four home assessments and designs, four accessible bathrooms, ten ramp and accessibility installations, and nine critical home repairs.
It brings joy to see a child’s face light up when they can roll their wheelchair under the sink and wash their hands independently. Parents experience both physical and mental relief when they no longer have to worry about lifting their child from their wheelchair into the bathtub. Every assessment is individualized to ensure that each modification meets the child’s unique needs, both now and as they grow. Whether large or small, every design is thoughtfully created with intention so that a house feels more like a home for the family and their child.
Becoming a monthly donor or as they like to say, Family Member, creates a consistent form of support for families. Whether it’s a one-time donation or a monthly gift, Tucker’s House and the families served will be forever grateful for the lifelong impact you make. Every donation and partnership transforms the lives of families who have children with disabilities. Each project completed means one more family gets to experience a world of safety and accessibility. Addie, a young lady whose life has been changed because of these partnerships, shares: “Life is different now by being wonderful! It’s been as close to normal as I think I’ve ever had in my life.”
