Seeds of Memory
It’s a deeply moving experience to witness new life springing from the same ground that once held so much death. Yet each spring, that’s exactly what happens at the Carter House’s orchard and garden. Fruit trees blossom and green seedlings push through the earth where thousands of men lost their lives nearly two centuries ago.

Raised Right & Rooted Deep
Spring has sprung. I am so excited! You can feel it in the air. Warmer weather and longer days are on the way. It is also that time again for our annual Home & Garden issue. This month we get to visit with a gentleman who knows a thing or two about both Home and Garden. Our Southern Gentleman is…Mr. Dan McEwen. Dan is a third-generation realtor and has a sincere love for land.

Voices for Children
In 1977, Judge David Soukup of Seattle recognized a major flaw in the legal system. The most vulnerable members of society, children in foster care, lacked adequate representation. After hearing the stories of these children whose futures were decided without an advocate, Judge Soukup created the first-event CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) in Washington. The program was designed to provide trained volunteers who would advocate in court for the safety and well-being o

Heart of the Community
Family, friends and community are at the heart of the holiday season—but at Williamson Health, supporting our neighbors is at the heart of everything we do year-round.

Down Home
It began innocently enough back in 1994. Rodeo Cowboy Ernie Greer, then in his mid-thirties, was looking to buy a stainless steel table so he could cure hams during his off-season. As a kid in rural Paris, Tennessee, Ernie’s father and grandfather both cured hams while young Ernie helped. But when Ernie arrived to the home of Mr. Reynolds to buy the table, Reynolds asked Ernie if he wanted to buy his whole operation instead.

A Little Women's Christmas
The beauty and charm of Franklin has always provided the perfect backdrop for filming a Christmas movie– and that is exactly what took place this past summer. Great American Family network will air A Little Women’s Christmas this holiday season, beginning on November 23rd. Filmed in Franklin, it is described as a contemporary retelling of the classic novel, Little Women.

'Tis the Reason for the Season
As the holiday season comes around, we all need to remember the reason for the season. Giving back has always been the cornerstone of the Williamson County community. YOUR Williamson has compiled a list of local nonprofits that aid our community during this time of year and all year round. So, as we celebrate the season, consider donating time, resources or support to one or more of these incredible organizations.

Gifts of the Garden
For 2024, Cheekwood Estate and Gardens have teamed up with former White House Floral Designer, Laura Dowling, for their annual Christmas installation. With a theme of “Gifts from the Garden,” the entire display is a luscious, French-inspired fever dream that feels magical and transcendent.
